Economic Empowerment

At Bishop Gassis Relief and Rescue Foundation (BGRRF), we believe that lasting change begins when individuals and families gain the ability to earn, save, and thrive independently. Our Economic Empowerment program equips vulnerable women and youth with the skills, resources, and confidence to break the cycle of poverty and build dignified, resilient lives.

We work in some of the most marginalized regions of Sudan and South Sudan, areas impacted by displacement, conflict, and systemic inequality. Here, economic opportunity is more than a goal; it is a critical intervention for survival and stability.

Why Economic Empowerment?

Poverty, especially among women, is often compounded by:

  • Limited access to education or employment

  • Discrimination and social exclusion

  • Gender-based violence

  • Lack of access to credit and financial services

  • Displacement and post-conflict recovery

Our economic empowerment initiatives are designed to address these barriers head-on—empowering individuals to take control of their economic future, participate in community development, and become agents of change.

You can help provide training, seed capital, and long-term support to women and youth striving to lift themselves out of poverty.
